Bio:
Renowned and respected music television presenter, Jane Gazzo travelled, worked and rocked around the world before coming home in 2007 to fulfil her destiny as Channel [V]’s rock chick [V]J. One of this country’s most notable voices on music and popular culture, she is well-loved by both viewers and musicians.

With her finger firmly on the pulse of what’s happening in the world of music and popular culture, Jane is dedicated to delivering insightful, current and entertaining news and opinions. Dynamic and gutsy, Jane’s no fear approach to interviews, coupled with her extensive knowledge and experience has allowed her to forge an extremely successful career in the media.

Jane’s extraordinary experience as a broadcaster and pop culture expert have all played a part in solidifying her in her ultimate role as a super [V]J on Channel [V]. Throughout the three and a half years Jane has been a part of the Channel [V] team, she has worked on many of the channel’s flagship shows. She has also toured the country numerous times to present from some of Australia’s biggest music events including Big Day Out, Homebake, Splendour in the Grass, and the ARIA Awards, as well as presented three seasons of B430, Channel [V]’s youth lifestyle show. Season One covered global festivals and Jane travelled to the Isle of Wight in the UK and Australia’s Fall Festival in Lorne, Victoria. In Season 2, Jane went in search of some of the best adventure experience destinations. She headed to Germany for the world’s biggest beer festival, Oktoberfest, then she hit the beaches of Thailand for the infamous Full Moon Party.Season 3, premiering March 2011, covers working holidays around the world and Jane heads to Miami to get a taste of like working as a DJ there, then closer to home hits Cairns to experience reef working.

Jane has also co-hosted a number of LIVE broadcasts from the Big Day Out festival and in 2009 co-hosted Channel [V]’s massive 10½ hour live broadcast Sound Relief from the Melbourne benefit concert, and before that coverage of 2007’s Live Earth. Throughout her illustrious career she has interviewed some of the biggest names in music including Mark Ronson, Arctic Monkeys, Ke$ha, The Presets, Chemical Brothers, Queens of the Stone Age, Green Day, Good Charlotte, Slayer, Vampire Weekend and The Ting Tings.

Melbourne-born and bred, Jane spent the first part of this century over in the UK working for London’s BBC radio, as well as stints at XFM and Capital FM. She also hosted Super Request on Triple J and the ABC’s cult morning program Recovery.

On top of television presenting, Jane is also a talented writer, DJ and a musician of some note, having once fronted a rock band. She is a regular guest DJ at Sydney’s Purple Sneakers Club
